XXX 600 Chassis
Dominate Open and Restricted Classes At Deming
Speedway |
|
|
| |
June 6th, 2008. Numbers are
everywhere in racing. From car numbers, to point
battles, field sizes and payouts, numbers truly tell
the tale for many things. With that in mind, this
week's key numbers are as follows - 14% and 7%. The
first run of Triple X Race Co 600's have hit the
track, and at Deming Speedway, 14% and 7% indicate
the percentage of the total field that XXX chassis
represent in the 600 open and 600 restricted
classes. Or broken down a bit further, 2 out of 14
and 1 out of 14. Why are these percentages
pertinent? Because XXX 600 chassis swept the weekend
at Deming's 1/6 mile clay oval winning both
the 600 Open and 600 Restricted classes. |
|
| |
 |
In the 600 restricted
class, Jacob Buckenmeyer dominated the

January 12th, 2008 - XXX
Midget Chassis Debut At Chili Bowl Makes Headlines |
|
|
| |
January
12th, 2008 - 274 cars showed up to compete at the
2008 Chili Bowl in Tulsa, OK. One of those was
the brand new prototype XXX midget driven by Gary
Taylor. The debut can be labeled as nothing
short of a complete success. In it's first
ever races, Gary placed 2nd and 3rd in his heats.
This put him in the Thursday night A-Main, where by
the end of the race he was cutting through the field
to end up 9th. This stellar qualifying
performance put Gary into the ultra competitive B
main on Saturday night. Gary was very racey,
and the XXX midget barely missed a transfer spot
into the A-Main, finishing 8th. On a night
when over 270 of the best midget race car drivers in
the world competed head to head, Gary in the brand
new XXX midget beat 243 of them.
Congratulations go out to Gary and the entire Mike
Euanks Tel Star Communications team! |

8th, 2008 - It was a long 2007 for South Australia
based Matt Egel. The 22 year old gasser spent a long
summer in the U.S.A. touring with Travis Rilat,
accumulating as many tricks and tips as he could.
All that time away paid dividends Saturday as Egel
paced the field for all 20 laps, piloting his Triple
X Race Co chassis to victory lane at Speedway City
in 410 action. After the feature event Matt was
elated with the win stating that the car felt
fantastic all night and remarked "The car has been
great all year and the Speedweek results proved it".
