Test Date: 03/17/2006 Lab: Washington (USA) Part: TXRC-SC-SU-0209 (46 1/2" X 1 1/8" 4130 Chrome Moly Steering Rod) Test Type: Destructive Test Procedure: Insert rod ends into each end of the steering rod. Rod ends are threaded to 100% of their thread depth.  Each rod end has negative pressure applied (pull) with an attempt to pull each welded insert out of the rod. Result: Applied (increasing) pressure to 12,700 lbs pressure.  At this pressure, the rod end failed.
